Making My Mark

This is my mark.
For a simple line and squiggly curve, it holds a lot of meaning for me.
First of all, it’s my initials – KJ. The first time I had to initial something after Chad and I were married, this is about how it came out.
When I made this mark, I realized a few things about it. The top-right bit is a heart and the whole right side is like an infinity loop. That felt right.
So it’s not just my initials, it became a statement about me. I have infinite love for the man who gave me the most wonderful opportunity – to share our lives with each other for as long as we both shall live.
And we did just that.
These days, it stands as a reminder of what made me who I am today. We are shaped by the experiences of our lives, marks of which become etched on our faces, some are carved on our hearts, and some are stamped on the things we create during our brief time here.
This is my mark.
